This is a great straighter and I love the water feature because it makes my hair super soft. I have some friends and family looking for this straighter because the great result
Decent, my hair is very thick ! I have 4a/4b, it did what needed to be done and only 1pass! I did this in 15min while head! I will be using this to keep satin press but, silk press will be with their straightener version with the comb
I recently started doing my hair at home—before, I always had to go to the beauty salon because I have very thick, coily hair that’s tough to manage on my own. A couple of weeks ago, my bf bought me a Dyson so I could start styling at home. While I love it for blow drying, it doesn’t give me the sleek look I like, so I still needed a straightener. The problem is, most flat irons I’ve used in the past caused a lot of damage and breakage, so I started researching gentler options. That’s when I found the Wavytalk Pro Steam, and I’m so glad I did!Today I washed my hair, blow-dried with the Dyson, and then styled with the Wavytalk—and WOW. My hair looks amazing, feels super soft, and there‘s zero damage. I absolutely LOVED the results!Pics for reference:1st pic – Blow-dried hair2nd pic – After using the Wavytalk3rd pic – Left side: blow-dried, Right side: styled with Wavytalk4th pic – Fully styled look
I have pretty thick curly hair and hated blowing out my hair for occasions because of how long it would take. This brush straightens my hair with 1 pass and leave it very shiny and healthy.A must if you want fast blow outs!!!
My shoulder length hair is naturally super wavy & thick. Also, I’m 55 years old, so my hair is on the dry, course side these days. This tool has totally transformed my hair texture to silky-smooth & it shines like crazy!! It literally looks just like I stepped out of the salon!! I have never been able to make it look as good as my stylist..until now!!
I normally use a Dyson Airstrait, but this smooths so much better, and will be less damaging.
It was easy to use & heated up in a matter of minutes. I’ve only used it once, and it took about 15 minutes to do, as I was being extra careful. It makes my highlights look so much better, too!! It’s a very impressive tool & you deserve it!! Don’t hesitate!! Snatch one up for yourself!!
I love it.Using only the lowest temp.Recommand using the heat-resistent glove as even the lowest tem. might harm your hand!My hair is thin and I find it very helpfull to striaten my hair and the second good thing is that it stay along the day. That is very usufull because of the water steaming.I must add that there is a big NO and I can NOT understant who plans a device whith such a tiny hole for puring water. And no possibility to dry the inner tunk.Somebody did NOT think...Should be an upgrade model
I have very tight curls and it‘s did a good job straightening my hair. By the end of the day, my hair was frizzy and starting to get wavy. But it was easy to use, I was able to work through all of my hair quickly, and it did stay straight for the majority of the day.
I loved my WavyTalk Steamline Pro! It heats up quickly and is very easy to use. The steam feature helps reduce frizz and leaves my hair looking smoother and shinier without making it feel dry. I also like that it combines a straightener, brush, and styling tool in one, which saves me time. The brush glides through my hair comfortably, and the results last for hours. It has a nice design, feels lightweight, and is easy to handle. Overall, I‘m very satisfied with this purchase and think it‘s a great value for the price. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quick and convenient way to style their hair.
I’m Dominican, and we’re known for our hair blowouts. Trust me when I say I stopped going to the hair salon regularly after getting this tool. Now, I only do professional hair blowouts for special occasions only. This tool is incredible! I’ve never seen anything like it in my 40 years. I have 3c curly hair, and I opted for doing ‘rolos’ using my heat protectant. I use this tool only in my roots, and my hair feels and looks like I did a professional Dominican blowout.
This product is amazing!! Don‘t walk RUN! It has different heat settings. The steam is a great addition to this straightening comb. I always have issues with frizziness, but not with this product. My hair felt silky smooth and soft. It straightened my hair very well
My 12 year old daughter is obsessed with this wavytalk steam straightener. She has extremely curly hair. It is beautiful when she actually takes the time to style it right. She has gorgeous natural spiral curls, but typically she doesn’t want to mess with it and she’ll brush it out into a poofy wavy mess and straighten it with a straightening iron. She has a chi and loves it but I worry about the damage it is doing to her hair even with the heat protection spray. Her hair is also super long and thick so it takes forever to straighten. She didn’t know I had ordered this wavytalk and was so excited when I surprised her with it. She couldn’t wait to try it out on herself, and then her sister and then me lol. It works great and I am so glad I bought it. Her hair looks healthier and it takes half the time to straighten it as before. It is easier for me bc she doesn’t need my help as much now. I highly recommend this! I had trouble finding a pic where her hair wasn’t straightened bc she straightens so much so the curly hair pic is a little old, but the one with her hair straight is new and her hair was done with the wavytalk.
While it does work faster and actually gets the roots AND ends of my hair, I dont think Ill use it. For starters, I can achieve a silk press fairly easily with any tool. This is close to my silk press but still leave me with a lot of body and minor frizz, with some poof at the roots. I kinda like it because it makes my hair seem fuller and heavier, vs thin and flat flat. My wash and dry process has been mastered for my hair so I can get bone straight. I did video the dry side vs the steam brush side for reference. So by the time I straighten Im good to go and it lasts me until I decide to wash which is every 4wks or whenever my hair feels dry. I hardly lose hair during wash, blow drying or flat ironing. This thing pulled out more of my hair than Im willing to risk lol its like my hair wasnt getting noticeably caught but when I looked at the brush I was confused because it pulled my hair out. I havent gotten this much breakage in almost a year and that was from neglect and trying to flat iron a week old blow out.. I know better. So to see these pieces break off kinda scare me that Ive set myself back a bit. It wasn‘t a handful but that‘s how little I lose that even 5 strands is a lot. My hair was pretty blown straight, so much so that I wasnt even going to silk it but wanted to test this. I have 4a/b type hair. It also burned my scalp twice and can get pretty hot if the steam spits out, which btw took a while to even happen. It made the sounds but no steam. Then when it finally did, the water had run out. So Im not even sure that I can say Ive 100% used the steaming portion rather than just the heated brush. And the brush gets quite hot. Its not heavy or anything and straightens well. I just think maybe its not for me. I didnt get to my healthy length and texture for nothing lol. I think the thing that makes it work so well is the part that also breaks my hair, and thats the curve of the teeth which mimics the pressing of a plate like regular irons. Like others have said it doesnt leave the burn smell. It does get my ends but my blow dry process ensures that. You have to have 100% smooth hair or this will take any stragglers, kinks or curls. Even with my method I may lose a few small ends that are probably already broken and split.. but this took so much more than Im used to.Update: days later and my hair is plenty drier. My normal routine keeps me moisturized for weeks and I even add oil to the ends now for an extra boost. This thing isnt for me. Its for those who either already have straighter hair, or girls with kinky hair that dont know how to manage it so any form of “straight“ they achieve makes them leap for joy. This just gives you basically a really good blow out texture appeal. It will encourage you to use excessive heat. Im a once per month maybe straightener type, not multiple uses. Also now has burnt hair smell after use, like any other iron.
As I paid for this myself, I will give you an HONEST REVIEW:Faster Straightening: IT DIDN‘T reaches its optimal temperature in just 30 seconds, it actually took several minutes.Anti Scald Coverage: The anti-scald shell, DO NOT WORK BECAUSE THE STEAM AND THE COMB BEING HOT WILL BURN YOUR SCALP AS HAPPENED TO ME. But being honest, it says REDUCE, not that this others things will not burn, BE CAREFUL.Other Features: The highest temperature is lower than my 15 yrs old flat iron tool.RESUME: This is just another hair tool, if you already have a flat iron, a brush blower, or something else YOU DON‘T NEED THIS. You can get this same result with your regular flat iron, it takes the ssme amount of hair. My hair did not feel hydrated after the use, but it helps with freeze a little bit; another thing is that you are unable to work your ends with this tool no matter how much you try. There‘s nothing special in this tool that make it different from any other regular tool/steam flat iron. I have a flat iron 15 years old that makes my hair looks better and last more than 7 days straight without any product or care. This is not the worst product, it‘s just nothing special, just marketing. But I really do appreciate the box compact size for storage, that it came with the glove, scrunchie and clips. It worth maybe the 60 dollars from the special price, but no more.About durability: It feels like it‘s going to brake in your hands, it doesn‘t feel good quality and I don‘t think this will last 1 or 2 years. And get dirty really fast, maybe because of the product color, but I actually love the color.Yes, is easy to use, you don‘t need a manual. And straingth your hair, but as I have fine maybe 2C hair, is so easy for me to get it straightened,if you have a hair like mine it will work easy for you. If you have the money and really want to try, go ahead, If you don‘t it really not worth it.
Trending videos had me buy this and while I don‘t really regret it, its still deceiving. The steaming effect is the selling point because it implied the steam is what‘s straightening your hair. False. There is indeed a heating element that is straightening your hair with tiny spurts of steam coming out at the side. But the steam itself does not really permeate through the hair and dare I say its almost like a placebo affect. I can‘t say it serves a purpose or maybe it slightly does but certainly not responsible for fully straightening your hair. Now...does it work in straightening your hair? Yes. Very much so. Is it healthy on your strands? That‘s the main question. Time will tell. And that‘s really my main concern because my hair is thinning and I need to hold on to every strand I have left. It also has a design flaw where the buttons are easy to press while using which will inadvertently switch temps unintentionally. Comes with a super cute scrunchie that I love and it works fast to style your hair but my main concern is hair health. Guess I‘ll have to see after a few uses and some time has passed.
I bought this primarily because I was intrigued by the steam function. If that‘s why you want to buy this, gone ahead and skip it. It‘s nothing to write home about. My hair is natural, mostly 3C but 4B/4C closer to the front of my head. I used the design essentials blowout system line as the prep for this. It has never failed me. I used my RevAir on level 7 and heat setting 2 to dry/stretch my hair. I used my unbrush for detangling followed by my wide tooth comb.Even with all that, this brush still kept snagging on my hair, no matter how small the section! When I‘d go back in with my detangling tools, they would glide through. The only thing that sorta worked was using a rat tail comb, (which most naturals don‘t use for detangling) and even then, I would still get a few snags and it would rip out a clump of my hair 😡.Because I had to work in half inch sections, it took me 3 hours to get through my head!! And that was after doing a full wash day. For reference, it usually takes me 2.5 hours for my regular wash day styling included. My hair was really soft after, but it definitely was NOT sleek, it was poofy. If you have relaxed hair, or loose curls, I could see this working for you. But if you have coily/kinky hair, this is not for us. Maybe as a touch up, if you have a silk press, but definitely not to take your hair from its natural state to straightened.
I was not a fan of this straightener. Adding any type of bend to the hair for added volume while straightening is very difficult. And like all straighteners of this type, you have to hold the ends taut while straightening with very, very, very small sections. If you are like me and have quite a bit of hair, be ready to spend some time styling with this product. (Maybe it would be best for just quick straightening touchups.) I did not feel that the device put out very much steam, and I even wondered if it had any effect whatsover. Filling the reservoir wasn‘t difficult, but securing the reservoir plug was quite a challenge. After doing so, I really wondered how long the silicone plug would last since it has to be removed and reinstalled each time your fill it--which is every time you use it as it doesn‘t hold much water. While I agree that it did straighten my hair, that is all it did. Stick straight, no volume, no bend, and no versatility like other straighteners have.
Edit: I wasn‘t happy & the seller offered me a full refund. Appreciate that.I have curly hair. This product did not work the way it was advertised. I had my reservations because water & straightened curly hair do not mix but I took a chance & I shouldn‘t have. It doesn‘t make my hair smooth or shiny. It makes it dull (like all the others) & when the steam dries my hair immediately begins to get frizzy/curly from the water. It‘s an overpriced heated comb which the comb part is fine but save your money & get a cheaper heated comb without the steam.
(A long story, but context is important) I was hesitatant about purchasing this device, as I haven‘t straightened my hair in several years (I haven‘t chemically straightened my hair for 20). A few years ago, I started experiencing thinning at my crown. After a “big chop,“ I became very particular about the products I used and how I styled my hair. For the last few years, I‘ve only worn finger coils or styled my hair with perm rods, as I wanted to stay away from direct heat as much as possible. Then I saw this device. Marketing claimed a straightening steamer is healthier for your hair, as opposed to the standard flat irons and hot combs. Unfortunately, as with most things, results may vary. I put off using this device, and the first time I do use it ... MAJOR FAIL!! I applied a heat protectant beforehand and followed the instructions accordingly. The hair at my nape straightened better, since the hair around the perimeter of my head is finer. Once I got to the next section however, where the hair is more textured, the device didn‘t perform as well (even with multiple passes at slower speeds). I‘m not even going to attempt the remainder of my hair (too afraid of damaging it). It didn‘t work for me AT ALL!! Truly disappointed with this product, and now it‘s too late to return for a refund. So, I‘m stuck with it!!
I received a new item, sealed completely in a box with all new items. I was so excited to try this, yet it was just a mess from the start. It took A LONG TIME to heat & start the steaming process, seemed like over 5 min. Every minute is precious when trying to get out the door to work. The item itself is very heavy , you have to almost use another brush before this to smooth hair out as you are using this or else you will find that THIS WILL PULL & TANGLE at your hair & this PULLS IT OUT. :( I had a lot of hair entangled in the machine even after the utmost care in trying not to. This also makes a scary sizzle sound as it starts to steam your hair. The worst part is that after only 5 uses, it literally stopped functioning. NOTHING - no power nothing, It was just a bust for me, everything about it was too complicated. From filling it with water, waiting for it to heat, catching & pulling my hair and then just not turning on at all. Returning it not for me :(
I used it 3 times and really wanted to love it despite its heaviness and big size.It does straighten a long hair fast and is safer, I was not afraid to burn my sculp. However it has a major design flow that makes it unusable after all - it is not possible to clean it. After only 3 times I decided to clean it with a dentotape, because there were no cleaning instructions or any cleaning tools inside the box. You can‘t wash it either. You can see on the picture that there is still a lot of dirt inside even though I already spent 10 mins flossing between straightening teeth. I used it only after washing my hair and with minimum hair product like thermo spray, so I don‘t know why it is so dirty already. I don‘t want to apply all that dirt back to my clean hair. Unfortunately will have to return.
Don’t waste your money especially the type 4 girls on the more coily scale
别浪费你的钱,特别是更卷的 4 型发质姐妹
I bought this because of the hype on tik tok… well lesson learned. I wanted something more user friendly so I could “straighten” my hair for trims and so forth. I specifically bought this because the steam technology caught my eye… because who wouldn’t want less heat damage. For reference I have 4c hair, I applied heat protectant and blow dried my hair… my usual routine before I used this.Off the bat I can say this does NOT save you time. If you have a full head of hair like me I’m telling you this is going to take you FOREVER. it took me TWO HOURS to do my entire head and that’s because you have to do it in small sections. The next issue now is that as a type four girl this didn’t straightened my hair… only gave me a “straighter” blowout. Can you imagine after trying the straighten your hair for 2 hours, you’re only left with a more stretched Afro? Then to top it all off, I got heat damage. Just great, so much for less damage in comparison to a regular straightener.Waste of time and money. You’re better off just using a regular straightener with a proper heat protectant if your goal is a silk press.
This item was sent to me already used. There was water someone had left in the steam reservoir cup. Disgusting- but I decided to try it one time to see if I even liked it to have it swapped out for one not previously used and it’s a no for me. I had a blow out the day before trying it so my hair was already straightened and smooth just needed a few touch ups and it ripped my hair out and got stuck in the brush so I can already imagine how much would be ripped out if I started from my usual curly state.
So, I ordered this to try on my daughters hair. I get the box and its been used. Had I requested a used item, I would have been fine with it. However, there is no place to indicate you would be fine buying it used. So here are the photos showing how I received everything and photos of the grime/hair product stuck to the teeth of this product.
Snag my hair way too often. Even with delicate placement and detangling prior, my hairs would get caught in the ridges and snag. I had to stop and pull it out before it could rip it off. But sometimes it did anyway. Not to mention the steam made my scalp sizzle the one time I tried to get close to my roots. Needless to say I only did the rest of my hair away from the root and the results were… poofy.
I saw all the videos on IG and I was hooked! I am a 4A/4B natural curly girlie. I dont straighten my hair often. I more of a wash and go or flat twist. But I thought this would be a “safer“ approach when I did want to straighten my hair.Yes, it will straighten your hair in 1 pass, root to end. It‘s amazing. I didn‘t feel any heat or steam on my scalp. However, I returned mine. It effected the thickness of my strands and made my hair very flat. The best way I can describe it is when I blow dry my hair straight it feels and looks thicker and fuller. When I used the WavyTalk my hair felt and looked thin and flat. I did a two strand twist after using the WavyTalk and my hair looked stringy. I had to do A LOT of fluffing to get into shape. That doesn‘t happen when I do a regular blow out and flat twist. So just something to be aware of depending on the outcome you‘re going for.
I bought the product on January 6, 2026 and my return date expired on Feb. 3, 2026! Tried to use it my straighter today and it will not even turn on! Uggggh! While it did work great when it was working. Any product that goes out in 32 days is NOT worth it!!!
Steam on curly/wavey hair? Shouldn’t have tried LOL.
卷发/波浪发用蒸汽?就不该试哈哈
I fell for TikTok videos of it. It does not do what the videos show to your hair. I have curly hair and you cannoooooot steam curly hair straight lol!!!! It just made it frizzy. My flat iron gets it silky straight, this one unfortunately couldn’t. Not for me
I used this product one time put it back in the box and pulled it out a few months later to use again and it wouldn’t work not a satisfying experience at all and it’s past the return window on Amazon so now i’m stuck with spending a bunch of money on a product I used one time very disappointed
